Nearly 40% of Millennials, born between 1980 and 1990 who take oral contraceptives, admitted to forgetting their pill from time to time, and more specifically at least once a month. In addition, one in five women say they forget about it once a week.

The survey looked at the lifestyle changes of this generation of women and examined the influence this can have on their daily habits and activities, such as evening make-up removal and contraceptive pill use.

Busy schedules, an everyday routine

The first reason would be that women do not know where to turn in a busy daily life where they go from work to personal obligations and family obligations to managing social life and living together.

In this age where everything goes very fast, women would forget to take their pill, because the days are not alike. Moreover, they do not live in a routine everyday life. According to the study, the second daily activity they would forget would be cleansing (46%).

No fixed time to take the pill

Nearly one-third of young women surveyed admit to taking the pill at random hours. Almost half of them say that one day is never identical to another, leading to forgetfulness of a pill. In short, they take the pill when they have the time and when they think about it.

Less protected by routine, more prone to stress, women of Gen Y forget their pill because of their concerns and unforeseen events.
