Every year since 1992 , after the end of year celebrations, we can get rid of the Nordmann or the Spruce that sows their needles in the living room thanks to the Fir Sack. In more than 20 years, the latter has become an institution of the Christmas holidays. As proof, since its creation, it has sold 10 million copies and has enabled Handicap International to raise more than 12 million euros in total. With this amount acquired through the Fir Bags, the humanitarian organization has been able to help many people around the world.

What is the use of the money in our sack?

With the money collected from the sale of the Fir Bags , Handicap International has cleared 25,000 km2 of potentially dangerous land due to the presence of antipersonnel mines. A total area equivalent to the size of a French region .

With the sale of the Fir Bags of the year 2013 , Handicap International has thus obtained the sum of 900 000 €. With these donations, the association was able to finance numerous social development missions in the fields of education and health. Handicap International also helped Syrian refugees and the inhabitants of 60 countries around the world , thanks to the financial contribution of the Sapin Bags .

A Solid Fiber Bag but also green

Completely biodegradable, the Fir Bag is made from non-GM cereals, originating from French production. It has even the label "OK Compost" since 2005, which guarantees its respect for the environment because, unlike an ordinary plastic bag, it decomposes after 4 to 8 weeks.

For our next Christmas tree, we anticipate and are already planning to buy his sack.
