For the last 7 years, the association L'Etoile de Martin has organized the operation "A cake for research" to raise funds for pediatric cancer research. A nice action to which you can participate! Rendezvous from April 15 to June 15, 2017 !

How to participate ?

Want to commit to a good cause? The concept is simple: to participate, we make a cake and sell it on the premises of a partner organization: schools, companies, associations, nurseries, sports clubs, bakeries ... The full benefits of the sale is then donated to the association L'Etoile de Martin. To find a recipe that will fly, we strongly suggest you go for a tour on the food part of the site of Advantages (and in particular to take a look at the best cheesecakes selected by the editorial staff). And no need to handle the pastry roll like a jedi to be supportive! Those who do not particularly like cooking can participate by buying cakes made specifically for the operation. This year, "A Cake for Research" is sponsored by Eric Frechon and Christophe Michalak , 2 talented and generous chefs. Savor by solidarity? A beautiful B.-A. no ?!

What is the money collected for?

Since 2006, the association L'Etoile de Martin, supports research on pediatric cancers and improves the daily life of young patients. Over the last 10 years, more than 4 million have been harvested and have helped fund actions for the benefit of sick children.
In 2016, the operation raised 55,000 euros. In 2017, the association hopes to do even better in order to realize a beautiful project. The Etoile de Martin wants to support children with neuroblastoma . For this, researchers need to know more about this tumor and, therefore, to study the immune response of the body of patients treated to understand, analyze and offer optimal treatment to each patient. It is this follow-up of each patient that the operation 'A cake for research' wants to fund in 2017.
