ingredients

4 wraps Original Mission Foods
2 pinches of cinnamon
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 can of apples, finely chopped
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons of butter
100 ml caramel sauce
75 ml of cream

Steps

Step 1

At first , in a small saucepan, place the brown sugar, butter, a pinch of cinnamon and the minced canned apple.

Fry until the butter and sugar are melted and the apple mixes nicely with the thick liquid. Remove from the fire.

2nd step

Cut out the 4 wraps to get 2 long strips about 6 cm wide from the center of each wrap, do not keep the edges. Place the strips in the microwave at low power for 10 seconds to soften them.

Mix the melted butter , a tablespoon of sugar and a pinch of cinnamon and brush both sides of each band.

Step 3

Then, in the lower left corner of each band, place a tablespoon of apple filling. Fold the left corner to form a triangle. Continue bending the band from left to right until you reach the end. Wedge it under the top fold.

Place the triangle on a baking tray and proceed with the other 8 strips. Bake at 180 ° C until golden brown.

Step 4

In the meantime , place the caramel sauce and cream in a pot and mix over medium heat until smooth, remove from heat and pour into a small bowl. Remove the triangles from the oven, let cool a few moments and serve with the sauce.

tips

Pitta is a flat oval bread from the Middle East that offers many uses: Cut on the slice or in half in the middle, it forms a pocket to garnish with a wide variety of ingredients. Heated a minute in the oven, it swells a little, becoming easy to open and taking a home-made aspect particularly appetizing.

Deli Pittas Mission are also available in full wheat and white flour versions
