Dandruff, itching ... After using many commercial products that have proved ineffective on these signs of an imbalance of the scalp, some people may prefer to turn to more "natural" care.

Here are three that have proved their worth:

  • Fenugreek seeds

Fenugreek is a plant commonly used as a spice, especially for Indian cuisine.

However, he is recognized for many medicinal virtues. Its seeds, rich in proteins and amino acids, allow a better growth of the hair and repel the appearance of dandruff. They can be found in a dietetic store or a large store.

In practice: soak the water seeds (equivalent to two cups of water) and marinate overnight. The next morning, crush them to form a paste and apply on the hair. After 30-45 minutes, rinse and wash the hair with a mild shampoo or water.

  • Olive oil

It contains linoleic and oleic acids which have a protective effect on the capillary vessels.

In practice: in the evening, massage the scalp with a dozen drops of olive oil. Cover the hair for the night, preferably with a bath cap. In the morning, make a shampoo.

  • The cider vinegar

Its acidity changes the pH of the scalp and prevents the development of dandruff.

In practice: add a few drops to a quart of water in a cup. Pour into a sprayer and spray over the entire hair. Wrap the head with a towel and leave for an hour. Wash hair as usual (to be renewed twice a week).

  • The lemon

Like vinegar, the acidity of the lemon balances the pH of the scalp and keeps the dandruff away.

In practice: squeeze the juice of two lemons and use it instead of its usual shampoo. Rinse with clear water. Proceed with a second rinse with a new lemon juice mixed with water. Repeat daily this ritual until the dandruff disappears completely.

  • Tea tree essential oil

The essential oil of Tea Tree has a strong purifying power and allows to purify the scalp.

In practice: add a few drops of tea tree essential oil to its usual shampoo.
