Far from being a lazy habit, napping is actually recommended for everyone if it lasts only twenty minutes.

If in France, the nap remains a symbol of nonchalance and softness, imposed on children and tolerated rest days, in other countries, siesta is an institution. In Japan, for example, some companies have set up dedicated rooms for their employees and in Spain, office hours are set up so that employees can rest before returning to work in the middle of the afternoon.

Two types of nap, two uses

The virtues of a daily nap on health are proven: fewer cardiovascular accidents, better productivity at work, etc. However it is necessary to differentiate the short nap called "parking" which lasts only twenty minutes with the long nap recovery that lasts several hours and is not recommended for people who suffer from sleep disorders.

The first type of nap called sleep-flash is recommended to relax and better understand the rest of the day. Be careful to program an alarm clock not to sink into a deep sleep. The other option, the "long nap", is recommended in case of a white night or very short, to compensate for a "debt" of sleep, but be careful not to disrupt your cycle.
