ingredients

8 untreated mandarins
4 vanilla pods
1 liter of water
2 tbsp. to s. cooking liquid sweetener
3 sticks of cinnamon
8 saffron pistils
1 tangerine peel
20 g of black peppercorns
4 stars of badiane
6 tbsp. to c. green tea leaves

Steps

Step 1

Wash the mandarins and then, with a knife, make an incision around each of them, halfway up. Peel the top and peel 1/4 cup of vanilla bean, set aside.

2nd step

In a saucepan, pour the water with the cooking liquid sweetener, 2 split vanilla pods, the cinnamon sticks, the saffron, the tangerine peel, the black pepper, the star anise and the green tea leaves. Bring to a boil for 3 minutes.

Add the mandarins "half-peeled", cook 1 min, then let steeped in the heat. Reserve in the fridge for 6 hours minimum.



Step 3

Arrange the tangerines in small dishes and cover each with a spoon. to s. flavored syrup with spices. Serve well fresh.
