This is an opportunity to give a second life to the packaging of our products.

Until September 30, 2018, Monoprix offers its customers the opportunity to deposit empty packaging of their beauty and hygiene products so that they can then be recycled. An unprecedented operation for the brand.

Toothpaste, toothbrush, jar of glass cream ... Everything is recycled

This action, called "Recycling your packaging will pack you" takes place in more than one hundred shops in Ile-de-France. It is set up in partnership with Terra Cycle, which specializes in waste recycling, and Procter and Gamble, which sells many beauty and hygiene products.

All bathroom products are concerned. Both those that can not be thrown in recycling bins like toothpastes, toothbrushes or used cream jars, than those made of cardboard, plastic or glass.

Packaging transformed into gardening equipment

"We want to encourage our customers to recycle their bathroom products by helping them sort through these products, which can not all be deposited in traditional recycling bins." At Monoprix, sustainable development is cheerful, inventive and fun, it is not experienced as a constraint, but as an opportunity to act differently and more respectful of the environment and men, "says Karine Viel, director of sustainable development Monoprix.

The products will then be transformed and become garden equipment for RĂ©seau Cocagne, a non-profit organization that grows and sells organic fruits to its members. An example: with 300 tubes of toothpaste, a bench can be created.
