Lighter than a color, the sweeping is ideal for those who want to give a new breath to a haircut without completely changing hair color. A successful scan brings light and creates volume trompe l'oeil in our hair. But what tones to choose for a shimmering brown, a bright blond or an incendiary red? Our expert Valérie Ganci , hairdresser and technical trainer at Franck Provost, reveals the secrets of the sweep we need!

I have a base blonde or light brown: I need light reflections!

The important thing to illuminate a clear base is to bring brightness and depth to the hair, while keeping a soft and subtle color for a very natural result. To create reflections of different shades, we use a single bleaching product but different application times (the longer the product is left, the lighter the strands will be).

  • The result :

Platinum locks and golden locks brighten my hair perfectly blending into my basic color. The reflections bring relief and highlight the slightest movement of my hair!

I have a red base, chestnut or blonde Venetian: I need flare!

The roux looks like a major trend of 2012 in coloring. To highlight a base of this color, we put on amber tones that are applied in a gradient: from the darkest on the roots to the lightest on the tips. The goal: to keep a natural effect, but to turn the hair into a flame at the slightest ray of sunshine.

  • The result :

A naturally vibrant color, and reflections all in transparency. My hair is shiny and looks thicker thanks to the gradation of shades that gives a deep effect to my hair.

I have a brown base: I need soft reflections!

Lightening a dark base is not always easy ... To bring light to a brown hair , so we put on warm and gourmet nuances (chocolate, hazel ...) for a scan with a very natural result, which retains the softness and the natural shine of brown hair.

  • The result :

An intense brown enhanced by light reflections, which lighten my hair. The locks blend naturally, while bringing nuances that highlight the movement of my hair.
