Essential cosmetic product, the lip balm is to our lips what your moisturizer is to our face.

It is also essential during periods of cold weather where the lips tend to become drier and more sensitive, and sometimes even chapped.

Why make your homemade lip balm?

First, make your lip balm yourself is the assurance of getting a 100% natural product, and therefore without any chemical additions.

And in the long run, it is much cheaper! Indeed, once provided with your ingredients, you will be free to retry the experiment until your stocks are exhausted.

Another advantage of homemade lip balm: it can be shaped to its taste, choosing its consistency, its fragrance, its container (stick or pot for a finger application).

Our homemade lip balm recipe

To get 10ml of homemade lip balm, you need:

  • 5g of shea butter : to nourish your lips and heal them
  • 5g of vegetable oil : coconut, olive, sweet almond ...
  • 2g of beeswax: to moisturize your lips deeply
  • 2 drops of preservative: to be able to keep your homemade lip balm as long as possible
  • 3 drops essential oils: to perfume your lip balm
  • dye (optional): to pimp your lip balm

Put all the ingredients in a saucepan, and heat the mixture in a bain-marie, stirring constantly until a smooth and creamy texture.

Pour everything into the container of your choice, and then place it in the refrigerator while your homemade lip balm hardens.

Sweet kisses to you!
