Class A, B or C: what is it and how do you find it? Here are our 100% green tips!

? Did you say energy class?

For many years, most home appliances have only one energy label . The latter allows to know the energy efficiency of the device you want to acquire.

A note and a color code are thus attributed to him. This rating goes from A to G. The A rating (associated with the green color) is the one that ensures the best performance for your machine. This is the most economical model you can find. Note G (red color), however, is associated with high consumption devices and therefore uneconomical.

On each of these labels, you can also find the consumption in kW per year of the device, its efficiency, its capacity and the noise it emits when it is in operation (in decibels).

? Which devices are affected?

Most appliances ! Fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, but also oven, air conditioning and light bulb.

Since 2005, cars have also their famous energy label, which informs the consumer about their CO2 emissions.

? More savings

Class A or B models are usually more expensive to buy. Nevertheless, they allow you to make valuable savings on your water and electricity bills. You will quickly realize that this type of investment is worth it: your wallet will appreciate and you will quickly depreciate your investment.

? More eco

In addition, making sure to choose an appliance based on its energy label , is also a way to take care of our environment. A car that emits less CO2 is less harmful to the greenhouse effect and global warming. Similarly, low-energy bulbs last 12 to 15 times longer than conventional bulbs. In addition, they consume 5 times less electricity . A real green gesture!
