No plug, no external battery ... Our phones are sometimes on the verge of the nerve crisis (and us too!). To avoid the breakdown, these 10 tips are applied to make the battery last as long as possible.

Tip # 1: Decrease Screen Brightness

That sounds pretty obvious and yet many of us do not. The higher the brightness, the more the battery will be charged . Usually, the brightness of the screen is adjusted automatically according to our environment, but if we feel that our battery is tiring, we can adjust it ourselves manually.

Tip # 2: close a maximum of applications

Our favorite applications are not necessarily the best friends of our battery. When they are open in the background, they solicit the processor of our phones . We make sure to always close them as soon as we have finished using them

Tip # 3: Prefer the ring mode

Contrary to what one might think, it is not the sound that puts our battery to strain but indeed the vibration. Another option: the silent mode, more economical as the vibrator.

Tip 4: Disable Notifications

When you receive a notification (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or other ...), the apps use our connection parameters and solicit our battery. With each new download, we go in our parameters to limit the number of notifications and keep only the essential ones (mails, messages or voice messages for example.)

Tip # 5: Bye-bye GPS, wifi and bluetooth

Indeed, cellular data such as wi-fi tend to be constantly searching for a connection. Disconnect as soon as possible.

Tip # 6: Activate Airplane Mode

As said before, wi-fi and 4G type connections are constantly searching for new networks. But if we are in the middle of the country or in the open air, it is not tomorrow the day before that we will find the network: then we limit the break and we go direct in plane mode, to avoid searching for a non-existent connection.

Tip # 7: Stay Connected

Unlike older phone batteries, lithium batteries do not need to fully discharge before being recharged . On the contrary, this creates stress in the battery which is likely to deteriorate faster. So we take the fold and we choose to recharge his phone several times a day.

Tip # 8: Getting used to energy saving mode

The latest smartphones now offer a 'power saving' feature. When activated, our phone will only use the basic functions and therefore save its battery. A good idea when you need more autonomy.

Tip # 9: sorting in apps

Even if it is hard to unhook, when you know that you will not be able to recharge your phone for a while, it is better to make a cross on some apps. Games and social networks are the most voracious but other phone features like the camera are also energy intensive! We go to the diet.

Tip # 10: Focus on wi-fi rather than 4G

At least with the wi-fi (when we have a connection available), our phone does not spend an infinite time looking for a non-existent network !
