How to Make a Wedding Bouquet?

Supplies :

  • 1 cutting pliers
  • Scissors
  • White adhesive tape
  • elastics

The bride's bouquet:

  • Fabric flowers (Sia): 1 white hydrangea (item 012607), 2 bunches of forget-me-not (item 070137), 2 bunches of ivy (ref. 081760)
  • Fine satin ribbons: 2 x 32 cm in light blue, 32 cm in purple and 32 cm in almond green (Mokuba)
  • 70 cm of ribbon in pale mauve veil of 7 cm of width
  • 50 cm of brass wire

The bouquet of bridesmaids

  • Fabric flowers (Sia): 1 bunch of forget-me-nots (item 070137), 2 branches of gypsophila (ref. 013800)
  • 2 x 30 cm of fine satin ribbon in the following colors: almond green, pale blue, very light yellow (Mokuba)
STEP 1
Long live the bride: bridal bouquet stage 1

Remove the leaves from the hydrangea branch and branches of forget-me-not. With the cutter, remove the lowest of the branches of forgoes (use the remaining flowers to make small bouquets).

2ND STEP
Long live the bride: bridal bouquet stage 2
Divide forget-me-nots on the hydrangea ball by pricking them.
2ND STEP
Long live the bride: bridal bouquet step 3

● Arrange the two ivy bouquets around the hydrangea and hold it together with a rubber band. Cut the stems leaving a length of about 13 cm. Wrap the rods with the tape, tightening as far as possible. Place an elastic at the top of the stems. Slide the satin ribbons between the rods and the elastic, let them hang in different lengths.

● Make the knot with the ribbon of sail: form loops that you will maintain with a stitch, then circle the bottom of the loops with the brass wire leaving sufficient length so as to slip it in the bouquet. You will place the knot opposite the satin ribbons that fall in front of the hand.

● Remove leaves from branches of forget-me-not, keep all large leaves.

● Disconnect the small flowering branches from the main stem.

● Gather forget-me-not and gypsophile to form the small bouquet. Then place the largest leaves of myosotis around the bouquet, hold it all with the elastic.

● Tie the satin ribbons one at a time around the rods alternating the location of the nodes.

ADVICE

● If you want to make this bouquet with natural flowers, use very fresh flowers (a little more than necessary) and proceed in the same way for the assembly of the bouquets in artificial flowers.

● Cut the stems at an angle and, before putting the tape, place a piece of damp cotton around the base, then wrap it with plastic film, keeping the cotton tight. Make the bouquet as late as possible and keep it in a cool place.
