ingredients

185 g of yeast flour incorporated
160 g of complete yeast flour
220 g of sugar
100 g melted butter
280 g yoghurt
2 eggs
1 tbsp. to c. fine grated orange zest
210 g dried dates, pitted, chopped

For the syrup
110 g of sugar
6 cl of water
6 cl of orange juice
2 tbsp. to c. fine grated orange zest

Steps

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 200 ° C (item 6) . Butter 12 cells (8 cl) with muffin plates. Sift the 2 flours and sugar over a bowl. In another bowl, mix butter, yoghurt, eggs and zest, pour over the flours, stir briefly to keep the dough still lumpy. Add the dates, pour into the cells, bake for 20 minutes.

2nd step

During this time, prepare the syrup: heat all ingredients in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring. When the sugar is dissolved, heat over high heat. At the first broth, lower the heat, let simmer 2 min without covering.

Step 3

Let the muffins rest for 2 minutes , unmold, put them on a grid placed on a plate. Pierce the surface of several holes with a skewer; pour the syrup over the hot muffins.
