Hull FC halfback Marc Sneyd insists he is excited by the pressure of trying to help his team win the Challenge Cup final against Wigan.

Sneyd won the Lance Todd Trophy last year as the Black and Whites did enough to overcome Warrington Wolves at Wembley.

His kicking game was too much for the Wolves and he is ready to deliver again as he prepares to do battle with Shaun Wane's Wigan.

Hull will be looking to defend their title and send captain Gareth Ellis off into retirement in style but Sneyd is unfazed by the occasion.

He told the Hull Daily Mail: "Winning does give you that hunger to pick up more silverware. I’m just as excited as I was last year.

"I enjoy the pressure of the big games and ultimately my job is to handle those moments. Half-backs have to be on it in the big games and I need to control the speed of the contest as much as possible.

"The pressure is something I'm looking forward to. Winning the Lance Todd Trophy last year gives me confidence going back to Wembley."
