Jean Paul Gaultier "Classic": the timeless sensuality of olfactory

Jean Paul Gaultier, the inevitable man to the marinière, genius of haute couture, has launched the bet to create a perfume dedicated to women as he loves them. He was keen to faithfully transcribe the scents of his grandmother's make-up kit, and it was against this backdrop that he launched his "Classique" perfume.

"Classic" by Jean Paul Gaultier, a complex mixture for a unique fragrance

In 1993, the young designer launched his first perfume called "Jean Paul Gaultier" and then "Classique". It is with Jacques Cavallier that he decides the scents that will compose the juice of his olfactive creation. True to his desire to recreate the smells of his childhood, he chooses a range of citrus fruits as head notes: lemon, orange blossom and bergamot bind lovingly to the more floral heart note. To close this very nice picture, the bottom note brings a powdered touch with amber, vanilla and cinnamon. The precise dosage of each of these fragrances makes this perfume a classic.

"Classic", a perfume, a bottle

With Jean Paul Gaultier, nothing is left to chance: the bottle chosen by the stylist is a tribute to women with a bust freely inspired by the body of Madonna, also recalling those used by dressmakers. To this are added a garter and garter belt in polished glass that sublimate this body with sensual and delicate curves. What a gentle provocation to think of all those hands in the hollow of his loins! Each variation adopts a bottle of its own, such as deodorant or milk for the body. The limited edition "Classique X" is even adorned with a sado-masochistic combination for the delight of these ladies. And it is without complex that the tin used as packaging reminds nonetheless that beyond the art, the consumption of mass remains omnipresent.
