Good arguments for teens

Three specialists, Dr François Besançon, Dr Philippe Batel and Philippe Jeammet, explain how to react.

- Alcohol is destroying his energy . The evenings watered, with their difficult tomorrows, it is one or two days damn. By force, he dries up the courts, sabotages his dreams, his possibilities, and his 1st year of business school. If he redoubles, he will not be financed a second!
- Being "stuffed" can put him out of the game . Instead of releasing social relationships, it can isolate him from others and degrade his own image ... He may even miss out on love! By starting in his delirium, one is no longer oneself and one becomes inaccessible to others.
- It's not corny to refuse the glass too much . He can have fun knowing to stop in time, right? And she, happily refuse: "Why do you add me alcohol? To be able to do with me what you want? "
- He is manipulated by the cunning alcohol dealers who sponsor his evenings or reduce the prices during happy hours: the more they initiate him early, the better they hang him for the future!

Where to find help?

We are often disarmed when we see the binge drinking of his teen. Even more so when he

reminds us of our worship of aperitif, table wine or our youthful experiences! And we may need advice to help him drink less. Associations, specialized centers and addictology services of the big hospitals receive the young people but also the parents.

The right gesture in case of ethical coma

If your child is brought back "dead drunk", place it on a mattress , turned sideways so that vomiting flows out of the respiratory tract (risk of suffocation). Make sure your nails are not bluish. If this is the case, call 15 or 18.
